Macon Drywall Contractors has been the drywall sub on hundreds of Middle Georgia commercial projects since 2008. We carry a crew of five direct-employee finishers (no day-labor) plus metal stud framers we work with on every TI. We're set up for projects from a single 1,200 sq ft office suite up through 35,000+ sq ft build-outs. We routinely hit demanding GC schedules and finish on time.
Fire-Rated Assemblies
Most commercial drywall in Macon involves UL-listed fire-rated assemblies — 1-hour and 2-hour rated partitions, area separation walls, shaft walls, and corridor walls. We're fluent in the specific fastener spacing, joint treatment, and penetration sealing each rating requires. We document our work so the building inspector can verify compliance on the first walkthrough.
Sound-Rated Partitions
Multi-family, hotel, and medical projects in Macon almost always require sound-rated demising walls — typically STC 50 or 55. We can scale up to 8-person hang and 4-person finish crews for larger or faster-track projects. We routinely match the schedule a GC needs and adjust as the upstream trades dictate.
Insurance and Documentation
We carry $1M general liability, workers' compensation on every crew member, and commercial auto. COI is sent to the GC and additional insureds before mobilization. We provide signed lien waivers with every progress payment, SDS sheets for all materials, and submittals for any specialty products (acoustic, fire-rated, impact-resistant) the spec calls out.
Payment Terms
Commercial payment terms are typically Net 30 from approved monthly billing per AIA G702/G703 format. We accept ACH for fastest processing. Retainage is typically 10% held to substantial completion, released after final inspection. We bill on the standard GC pay-app cycle.
