Founded in 2008 by James Wheeler
Macon Drywall Contractors was founded in 2008 by James Wheeler — a Macon native who grew up in Bibb County and learned the trade the long way around. James started as a helper for a local contractor in his teens, spent a decade hanging and finishing drywall for other companies, and earned his own Georgia contractor's license in 2008 to start the business.
Today James leads a team of five skilled finishers, all locally based, all carrying the same standards he learned from the old-timers who taught him: walls that are flat under raking light, seams that disappear, and a worksite cleaner than how we found it.
